Well-I got a Camry this week.
an 08 Hybrid. Pretty much bone stock.
I've never owned a Toyota before.

The Camry does need new tires, really bad.
Which leads to my question - I don't think I can swing buying bigger rims the same week I got the car. So I am probably stuck with 16's for now.
How wide of tires will fit?

I ran 225/50 16 on the VW's with no issues.
I called Tiretack and they said only the stock size (215/60 16) would fit the Camry. I would like to put either 235/55 16's or 225/50 16's on the Camry.
Anyone have experience with these sizes ( or any tires 9.25 inches wide or wider on an 08 camry?)

My Camry is a hybrid - So i am going to try to stay with same size diameter tire....so i dont chance the performance (seems like allot going on with the hybrid setup....regenerative braking & electic motor starts....etc...) so the 235/55 16 would be best - if it won't rub.
ANyone have these on an 08 Camry?
