Hi, Some Questions

hi, i have a 2007 camry LE.

1)http://www.topix.net/forum/aut...amry/T0N6BEDCKA0VVT2E5
i have noticed this before, is there anymore info about it? i thought it was just the way the car drives but realize its a problem. It's really annoying and possible dangerous (i almost got nailed switching into the other lane).

2)i already took it in once, but the AC has a little buzzing sound in one of the vents...any idea what this could be? i think i should take it in again.

3)the ac takes forever to cool, and they told me that this was just how the newer card were made to reduce emissions. is this bs?

4)should the aux jack display song information and allow for control from the console (i use an ipod)?

5)Should the radio display the station info and song name?

thanks...

RE: Hi, Some Questions

1) Check the TSB via your dealership.
2&3 once again check with your dealership, something is wrong.

4) Using the aux jack with your ipod does not display song and artist info
5) 07 LE's don't have RDS only when you get the JBL nav system.

Hope that helps

here is a new and updated TSB out that includes all 2007 CAMRY I4's manuals and automatics. I have the same problem and am planning on getting it serviced as well.

RE: Hi, Some Questions

I got my 07 SE 4 cyl AT 2 months ago and nohesitation and acceleration problem. Do u guys think that the hesitation and acceleration problem is cause by gasoline? I am using 93 octane since I bought my car!
May be u should try to use premium gas and see if its better!

RE: Hi, Some Questions

Why are you using 93?????

RE: Hi, Some Questions

so basically

you should take it back and get your computer updated - we did for our HL but its kind of a jerky ride now...

bring it back for a/c noise

newer cars do tend to have a/c that takes longer to get cool and dont get as cold due to new freeon and systems that are more environmentally friendly - it sucks buddy.

the aux jack is nothing but a headphone style jack...do your headphones display a song when connected? nope its pure audio.

no you cannot control the ipod or other device through the head unit when connected only through the aux cable.

and like someone said only the top of the line systems have that capability.

RE: Hi, Some Questions

I am using 93 premium fuel because my dad own a camry in malaysia with the same engine, in his owner manual it saids that premium fuel recommend. So i just use the premium.

nodrogkam 08-20-2007 01:17 AM

RE: Hi, Some Questions

the american ones are just regular, but premium doesnt hurt and will improve performance and fuel economy marginally. the lexus versions of the same engines require premium because of their computer tuning, and in other countries their lowest octane is like 91 or higher vs in america u can find regular 85.

RE: Hi, Some Questions

U r right nodrogkam, its just 10 or 15 cents more per gallon for the premium gas and may be u guys can solve the hesitation and acceleration problem, why not give a try!!!

RE: Hi, Some Questions

With the 07 the 93 might hurt it more than it will help. The 2007 Camry 4cyl were set up to run on 87 not 93 the car can't take advantage of boost of the 93 octane. I have seen it before.:)

RE: Hi, Some Questions

Please explain how it will hurt the engine. Because I believe those gasoline octane rating in my country Malaysia are higher than U.S and the Toyota, Honda and etc are using the same kind of engine between these two region. If 93 or higher octane rating hurts the engine then how to explain those car in my country? I am not picking on u, just want to know and learn more. Thank you.;)

RE: Hi, Some Questions

good question. how does it hurt engine? but like rebull said not trying to pick on you if you could prove me (us) worng then it'll be something new we learned. i been using 91 octane (CA.. or i havent found a gas station that uses 93 octane) in my '95 Camry V6 and everything seem to fine with it.

***side note*** i was reading on the other forum with the link posted in a previous post that some one said their car hesitate when the engine is cold. that happens to me ('95) to so i usually let my car idle for about 2-5 min before actually driving it. so i have a feeling it happens with all the Camry? no matter what gen it is..?

RE: Hi, Some Questions

already tried 91 here in california. it doesn't work and shouldn't work. the manual states that 87 would be just fine. the issue with the hesitation starts with the ECM and it needs to be updated with the newest TSB. however, there have been some cases where people had to replace their tranny's, but this for the most part, has been for the v6 engines.

Redbull 08-25-2007 09:49 PM

RE: Hi, Some Questions

Is this hesitation problem only happen on the V6 or 4Cyl or both? Cause I have the 07 4Cyl SE with no problem at all!!!

RE: Hi, Some Questions

i think TSB EG056-06....if this is the same one we are talking about, is only for 2007 model year Camry vehicles equipped with 2AZ-FE engine and 5-speed automatic transmission.

i get to pick up my new 07' LE on wednesday....hopefully this doesnt apply to me. and if it does, should I just print off the TSB and give it to the service dept. before I even drive off with the car??

Trojan 09-23-2007 08:59 PM

RE: Hi, Some Questions

yeah, just print it out and show it to them upon arrival. they'll know exactly what the problem is.
