Default intro. from Arkansas

Hello the forum!
I'm just Tommy, a guy in central Arkansas. We recently got an '09 Camry XLE with about 70k miles, in great condition. Now, we own 3 Toyotas, an '08 RAV4 Sport, this '09 Camry and a '10 Corolla S.

The RAV4 has a few more miles, so it will now become our around-town vehicle and the Camry will be my commuter (49 miles each way, M-F).

I'll likely read a good bit here, learn about this critter some.
I'm an engineer, work with water systems in Ark, ride an '08 HD FHLT, but any other questions, no prob.

Oh, and its green, or greyish-green.

'appreciate the welcome!
I noted the 5-speed in your sig., and sure wish this one had a manual tranny!... (and the V6 like the RAV4, but we "can't have everything" I reckon. )

Ha, ha, I hear ya. I did some searching for mine and I ended up with good deal on it because a lot of people have not adapted/learned how to shift. It definitely keeps the commute more interesting.
Again, welcome to the forums.

I learned clutch on Pa-Buck's old (really old) John Deere and a 1 ton hay truck, and have owned manuals most of my life. Folks don't realize how much more fun driving is, with a stick.

Ah well, this Camry pretty much fell into our laps, and I am not complaining at all. Well, after I get the tires balanced (may be a warped rotor, but prob a tire) to get rid of that annoying vib. that starts at about 75. I'm calling it the cush-mobile, particularly compared to the RAV4-Sport and Corolla-S.

Mods I've considered are pretty conservative (duh, it's a Camry, right?), body side molding(purchased already painted?, easy to apply myself?), a K&N air filter, replace the shocks..... some day).

Nice list of tasteful mods. Yeah, it is a Camry and that kind of limits things. It can still be a lot of fun though!

After a work drive of about 280 miles today, I was def. pleased!

I got to cipher out a few of its fancy innards, like the Homelink-thing-garage-door-opener and voice command bluetoothy thing!
