Looking at buying a camry
Hi guys,
Looking at buying a Camry Sportivo V6 from Auctions, had a look at it today and alot of water poured out of the exhaust when we reved it. Also found water in the boot near the jack.
The car belonged to a detective in the Australian Police NSW, government car. (Auction is on Tuesday)
Anyone know how water could get in the boot ? could this indicate its been smashed ? Do your camry's spew water (alot of it enough to cover the ground in a 1 meter long spread) ???
Any thought or comments would be very much appreciated
Pedro

bonnet and boot! <3 topgear.
anyways theres a leak in the trunk...there must be some weatherstripping issues. There shouldnt be too much water in there, unless the drain hole was clogged with something.
The exhaust happens with cars that have sat around for a while and accumulated condensation...or someone had some fun with the hose and filled up the muffler. Either way thats pretty normal. I'd be concerned about the water in the trunk.

oh- if that's a gen5 you're looking to buy and it has water in the jack compartment area- then you might want to look at the SUNROOF SYSTEM/MECHANISM of that car. If you're gonna get that car for cheap- get it and just get the Sunroof fixed... but if its gonna be a grip.. iDK- i wouldn't spend another 3000 to get that sunroof repaired.
