Random misfires above 4k rpm
I'm experiencing random mis fires above 3-4k rpm on my 2005 Camry 3.0 liter V6. I just had my timing belt replaced along with the water pump, tentioner and pulley. I've taken it to a completely different mechanic (a friend of mine at a toyToy dealership) than the one who replaced the timing belt. The misfires were not present before the work was done. The timing is correct and has been verified. The random misfires are on cyl 5 and cyl 6. On opposite engine banks. Initially I thought the timing must be off but we've ruled that out. We also ruled out the cats being an issue from a visual inspection. The misfires are realated to catalyst codes as I said on to opposite engine banks. Anyone have any experience with this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated

What are the codes? Catalyst codes?
Is the check light blinking? Check any item/area that may have been touched during the timing belt change. This includes the cam/crank sensors, wiring and connectors and vacuum hoses. |
