Rescue Camry 2001, New Owner Questions

Hi, I'm a devout Blue Oval owner who has rescued a 2001 Camry LE, V6. It WAS all white, steel wheels and wheel covers, yuk! Now with a 98 spoiler on the back, 99 Lexus 5-spoke alloy wheels (with Toyota center caps), it's much nicer looking despite the lack of color.
Only 52,000 miles so a long life should be in it's future.

My questions are:
  1. Assuming there is only one version of a key with the car, should it not open the trunk (manually) too? Neither of the chipped keys will open it nor will a non-chip key that was apparently cut for lock out situations. The only way I can open the trunk is the door sill lever.
  2. Neither remote works, even with new batteries. I assume they can be re-programed with instructions that are probably be found on the forum?
  3. Is there a feature to not lock the drivers door, but only the other 3 doors when using the interior power lock button? Each time the lock button is depressed, it locks all 3 OTHER doors, but not the drivers side. Maybe it has a defective lock cylinder.
Thanks in advance to anyone reading and responding.

Tom

Are these all original Toyota keys?

Do all keys unlock the door and glove box?

Do the trunk lock keys rotate the trunk lock but the trunk does not open?

Can you start the engine?

The cars computer needs to set up to recognize a FOB. The internet should have info on doing this.

Toyota shows NO option to NOT have all locks work with the inside door lock switch.

At least 2 are, I believe the third was made as a rescue key.
They unlock the doors, I've not tried the glovebox.
The keys will not manipulate the trunk lock in either direction or any manner/
The keys DO start the engine without issue.
I do have directions on reprograming the FOB's (2) neither of which currently work, so that is a next step.
That is what I wanted to confirm, about the one key for all locks, thanks.

Toyota had a "valet" key that only worked with the ign key. That's why check if the keys work with the glove box.

Go to the site below and download the owners manual which has drawings of master and valet keys.
