Tools for Timing Belt and water pump replacement
 

does anybody know the tools,size,etc. that I need to have to change the timing belt and water pump for a 1995 Camry 2.2L 4cyl?

prob for the small bolts i wont hav eproblem but hate to start diassembling and i dont have the correct wrench...

I know i would need a camshaft pulley puller. I would assume all the bolts would be from 10mm to 14mm for the covers and the tensioners... I guess what most likely i need is the size of the camshaft. I think I read somewhere that it is 1/2inch... can anybody confirm that it is the correct size for the bold of the camshaft?

You must mean a crankshaft harmonic balancer puller. Use a bolt-on puller not claw type to avoid the possibility of pulley the two piece pulley apart. The puller bolts to the front of the pulley using 10 or 12 mm bolts. Hardware stores stock metric bolts.

If you have a socket set up to 1 inch you should be able to find an English socket that fits the crank bolt. You will need a 1/2 inch drive and large breaker bar. Bolt a long section of wood to the front of the pulley using the holes in the pulley face. The board would have a hole to allow access for the socket drive extension. When the socket wrench rotates the pulley, the wood will bend up with the chassis or frame to keep the pulley from rotating.

The upper engine mount is 14 mm. Pick up a 14 mm 6 point box wrench or risk rounding over the bolt head flats as the bolts can be very tight.

Before taking the engine fully apart rotate the crank to TDC with the hole in the cam pulley spoke aligned with the notch on the top of the upper cam bearing mount.
