Default Tranny/Electrical Issue

I have an 89 Camry LE, Auto, 2.5. Lost forward momentum the other day. Trans wouldn't engage.
Got it home and started it up and the tranny engaged.
I go out the morning after and the battery is dead. I put it on the charger and went to work. Came home and nothing. I disconnect the battery, reattach the charger and go to sleep for the night. Go out next morning and the battery is charged. Start it up and she engages.
Within 1/2 hour the battery is dead. I charge it again. I start it today and all the idiot lights stayed on. Backed the key off about 10 degrees and they went out without it dying.
Pulled the ignition switch and measured draw at the 10 amp setting and she still pegged. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I'm leaning towards a stuck shift solenoid. I have to figure out where the wiring is at on the tranny.

Does the ign switch work, as in turn off the power to the circuits its wired to?

Remove the DOME, STOP, ECU-IG and GAUGE fuses. This will remove all power from the trans.

Also try disconnecting the alternator which can be another source of problems..
