Default Transmission swap

I have a '90 Camry sedan with an automatic. I need to replace the trans and was wondering do I need to go strictly with one from a Camry or can I go to similar vintage Celica as well? My car is a non-electronic trans and, so far, all the relevant Camrys I've found have the electronic kind.

V6 or 4 cylinder? All wheel drive or 2 wheel?

There may be a sticker on the side of the drivers door with the transmission number.

The trans is an A140L model.

The Camry may have used this trans from 1991 back. The trans has two different axle setups bolt on and splined.

Guessing the Celica would have a different gearing due to weight.

The place to ask is Toyotanation.
