Used Camry shopping, a few questions
 

Hey everyone! I'm looking to replace my worn out 2006 Elantra beater car with a used Camry. It's going to be my reliable daily driver to supplement my 2015 Lexus IS350. I'm no stranger to Toyota and have owned a 91 Celica in the past and my parents have owned Toyotas before as well. Used Toyota's are pricey, but the reliability is worth it! I have been able to answer most of my questions through google, but a few answers I can't find are:

1. What year did the Camry get a fuel economy gauge/meter to show your average fuel economy? I know these gauges aren't 100% accurate, but it's nice to know your fuel economy on the fly and not just rely on doing the math when you fill up.

2. Side airbags - these cars have a much better crash rating with the side air bags, and it looks like they became an option in 2004. When searching through sales ads, nobody lists whether the car has side airbags or not. Is there a specific trim level that has the side air bags so I know when the car has them without having to look in person?

3. AUX jack and/or bluetooth audio - when did the Camry get an AUX jack standard, and when did the car get bluetooth audio capability? Depending on what year they got bluetooth, it will probably be out of my budget, but this is still nice to know.

Is there anything in particular (common problems, things to avoid) I should be looking for when shopping?

Need more info such as years of Camry looking at and engine type.

Basically 2004 and up

1) The gauges are not accurate on Camry either.

2) Edmonds.com typically lists detailed specs and options for used Camry. Search on year, make, Edmonds.

3) Again try Edmonds.

Toyota has free owner manuals downloads for Camry years at site below. This would tell all about the car.

Suggest avoiding the 2AZ-FE 4-cyl engine which had oil consumption and head bolt thread issues.

If you are really looking spend $20 to gain access to Toyota service bulletins at site below. For a time during after the mid 2000's Toyota was having quality issues.
