What is the best year and engine for a used Camry?

Looking to buy a used Camry. What might be the best year and engine?

Heard some of the 4 cylinder engines can have oil consumption problems, and heard there can be problems with suspension.

Is it safer to stick with the 6 cylinder engine?

How does the Camry compare to the 4runner?

my experience
I found the 4 cyl lacking for comfort on long trips
oil leaks ...cooling issues..suspension sloppy
4 cyl issues ..the block head bolt threads like to strip

if possible stay with the V6 and keep services and maintenance ongoing

never had a problem with the 4 cyl. the newer years are best I am told but
no problems with mine. I have owned 1997 to 2016.....no problems

The 2AZ-FE using until around 2012 suffered from oil consumption and pulled head bolts.

Camry and 4Runner are different cars. Camry is a family car.
