Wow did I just get a deal! New Camry Owner!

Hi Camry Forum!

I just bought my first Toyota. I thought it would be a good time to join the Forum. You gotta' hear about the car I bought today, it is one in a million.

It is a 1989 white 4 door Camry sedan with burgandy cloth interior. It has the 4 cylinder 2.0L 16 valve engine with a manual 5-speed. It is the base model, but the condition is amazing. The car looks like it is 2 or 3 years old, but it is all original and actually 17 years old. Since it left Japan, it has been kept in California

It has 45,450 miles - documented.
The body is almost perfect, one small dent near the bottom of the rear door on the driver's side.
The paint is glossy like new, there are no dull spots
All of the chrome is like new
The tires are new
The interior is perfect, no rips, tears, or signs of wear at all
The 1989 original owner's manual is still in the glove box
Everything works perfectly - even the original speakers work like new
It is 100% stock with no modifications or non-Toyota parts
There is no rust or scratches anywhere on this car
The chassis is spotless: no oil leaks, grime, or dirt
The engine runs flawlessly

Price: $3500

Outside of a museum or car show, I have never seen such an old car that looked so new.

The funny part is how much I like driving this car. It is so easy to drive and so solid. Most of our cars have been brand new over the last 10 years or so. Somehow, I am more excited to have this one-of-a-kind Camry than any of my previous cars.

Is it possible to be a classic Camry enthusiast?
