92 camry electrical problems
 

my 92 camry 4 cylinder seems to be having an electrical problem..the dash dies together with the radio and the clock and the power windows also seems that it misses O/D on the highway when dash dies for sum reason....when i shut the car off in this mode is fails to turn on again....until car rests for about a whole day..could this be a alternator problem..maybe internal diode or regulator..or does is point to a relay....??????? plese help

The dash dies as in all dash instruments such as gas gauge, speedo, etc.

Along with the radio, clock and power windows? How about the power locks, do still they work?

What about the O/D, what does it do.

Does the engine restart OK but these items still now work.

Is the Alt light on? When this happens how are the headlights, bright, dim?

I think its better to get your car checked by the service center.They'll be able to tell whats wrong.

Ya i agree with james that its reliable to get the car checked by the service center or any body shop.The person there would find out the problem.
