Please don't take this the wrong way, but people who infer that they're going to mod their cars often drive in a manner that uses more fuel... combine that with a V6 engine and you're bound to get poor fuel efficiency. Sorry for the stereotype, but driving habits are the most likely and have the largest effect on fuel consumption.

Case-in-point: Ever browse a car "enthusiast" magazine (Car and Driver, Motor Trend, etc)? Their tests usually show 3-5 mpg less than a Consumer Reports test of the same vehicle. It's because the C&D testers drive the vehicles more aggressively than the CR testers.

lol, yeah i totally understand what you're trying to say sestivers, and i agree, but you see the thing is i just started driving so i take it easy while on the road. i mean i do expect the fuel efficiency to decrease once i do mod it, but it just doesn't seem normal when you're casually driving in local or highway

Is it a new vehicle? There are many little things that can decrease gas milage on a car that you might nt even think of. If your tires arent inflated properly, you can even lose milage there. I'd say check and make sure everything is optimal; tires, make sure theres no leak in the exhaust (usually a dried out gasket within a flange), air intake is clean, oil life is good, overall a tune up.

I know how it is wanting to mod it out, but with gas prices these days, we gotta watch that too. The cars aint the only ones hitting high numbers huh?:D

Your car looks very nice.

I would suggest having your fuel injectors properly cleaned. This may have never been done and would dramatically affect the mpg. The local dealership usually does it for around $80

Hey thanks thomas! Steph and I are very happy with it, but theres still more to come. Im planning on working vents on the hood to ram some colder air into a custom intake. As soon as there are any changes I'll prolly update the sig, but you can always look at my camry album on my myspace
