Overpriced Mechanics
I miss my old mechanic when I lived in Mass. Living in CT things are expensive in the auto problem world.
I went in for a transmission flush, I waited for 2 hours. When it was done the mechanic said he found the following problems...Some of which I already knew about. Here's the list. (2000 Camry CE 4 cyl. 120,500)
LF inner tie rod (worn and loose) $434.39
Rear sway bar bushings (worn and loose) $192.39
Power Sterring belt (cracked) $113.48 (had this replaced @80,000 miles, squeaks a little)
Exhaust leaking at the flex pipe (flex pipe needs to be cut out and replaced) $217.40
I called where I used to take my car in Mass. and asked them "how much would a new inner tie rod be?"
"$130.00 parts and labor, but you'll need an alignment after"
I know where I'm going...
