2007 Camry Hybrid Volume Display Not Working
 

Hello,

I have a 2007 Camry Hybrid. The other day on my way to work the sound randomly just stopped. No, static or fading. Just sound then nothing. I tried to turn it back up but the volume display wouldn't even show up when I turned the knob OR used the steering wheel controls. SO WEIRD! When I left work that day I turned my car on and BAM it worked again. For 5 seconds until it cut out again and the volume display disappeared. EVERYTHING else works on it, just no sound or volume display. My fiance and I tried to self diagnose it, but alas, have failed. Does anyone have any info about this problem that might be helpful? Trying to avoid spending a small fortune to fix it.

if everything else is working on the display

could possibly be
led screen damage
a unit internal failure
steering wheel control button issue

looks like it should be removed and tested

or you could try to buy a used unit that suits a 2007 or upgrade to a unit more recent

was thinking the same thing replace radio took to pro sound shop 25$ check amp fuse! 09camry with JBL premium sound did same thing after cig lighter fuse blew wasn't intermittent, all radio functions worked just no volume

Is the mute function on?

This systems can have amp failure.
