Question Aftermarket stereo always resets itself.

Put in an aftermarket stereo I had in another vehicle, stored in bedroom closet. Despit reconnecting the memory power wire directly to the battery, it keeps resetting itself each night to factory setting. All presets and time erases. Radio has become staticy. Is it in conflict with the car's wiring, or stereo problem? Never abused, worked perfect in last vehicle, Pontiac Aztek. Help! My last thought was faulty grounding.

This only happens over night? Not when you turn off ign key for long hours such as when at work?

What brand and model of radio?

What year of car?
