battery light on

BATTERY LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON???
i have a 1992 camry 4 cyl. the battery light is always on and while driving the car will stall. I bought a new battery and that did not work i also just replaced the alt. before i go out and get battery cables and or terminals i would like to know if it could be anything else. please help:confused:

are you sure the battery you bought is working??? I think the problem in the battery itself...

Get a voltmeter and check voltage at the battery terminals with engine running at 2000 rpm. Voltage should be 13.9-15.1v engine cold or 13.5-14.3v engine hot and having run a while.
