04' camry brake problem
got an 04 camry with some issues. about a month ago the brake indicator light on the dash came on and has remained on (red light that goes on when parking brake is pulled). i thought it might have been the pin switch so i swapt it out and did not solve the issue. a few days ago the brake pedal started getting squishy and at times fails to work at all and needs to be pumped once or twice to get the brakes to work. ive check the fluid though it was not totaly full it was not low so i toped it off. the master cylander was replaced almost 2 years ago by a brake shop. its a 4 door with disk all the way around. any advice on this issue would be greatly healpful thankx

I thought the brake light switch was either E-brake being on or low brake fluid.
The switch is in the cap, try moving the flow all the way up to the top and determine if the light goes out. The switch could be bad, try unplugging it. Make sure the E-brake switch works OK.
Did not think the light actually had anything to do with brake operation (spongy pedal) only the brake fluid level.
Spongy pedal could be a bad master cylinder, air in lines, if the fluid level is dropping could be a leaking brake cylinder or line.

Replace your Master Cylinder ASAP!
I had this same issue last year (06/06/2008). My wife had noticed a spongy brake pedal for weeks; until the right wheel locked up on her in the high way. The caliper had locked up, overheated the rotor (red hot) and melted the brake pads and the hubcap! I had to replace the right caliper, a new rotor, new brake pads, and new master cylinder.
