1999 Camry V6 LE Wheels/Rim
I have a 1999 Camry LE V6. The Rims are 15x6, and the tires are 205/65 R15. Any issue if I put new rims on that are 15x6.5?
Also wondering if anyone has any ideas on a slight "knocking" sound that I get when rolling over bumps in the road (dirt roads). In the history of the car, I have had struts replaced, strut caps, brake rotors etc. Car checks out fine at the shop, and you can't reproduce without driving. Thanks. |

Worn sway bar bushings can make a knocking sound when going over say bumps. Both front and back of car have a sway bar and bushings that can make this noise.

Thanks toyomoho...that sounds about right...I had rear sway bar bushings replaced to eliminate a similar knock in the rear.

you should actually double check tha the shocks and the mounts were put on properly and securely. more often than not, sometimes mechanics get distracted and neglect to double check that they've properly torqued down bolts, and so the struts clunk a bit. It'll get worse over time as they get more and more loose...haha
there are too many factors and thats something that happens when you change so many things at once, but usually labor is cheaper that way...hehe. |

Let me know if you are interested in getting rid of your stock wheels if they are the alloy wheels. Please let me know how much you want for them and their condition. I want them for my 1998 LE 4cyl. Thanks. brent_lowry@yahoo.com
