2001 Camry XLE struts
 

My Camry hasn’t been handling the way it used to for a while now. I took it to the shop about a week back and was told my front steering was out of sorts. Which I’d figured something was wrong because it hadn’t been riding smooth enough. And so it looks as if I’ll have to get a fresh pair of struts on the front and probably in the rear. I’ll have to get an alignment too. But at this point I really want the shuddering to just go away. I’ve decided to purchase the parts myself to save some money. So I googled parts which I got some results. Some I was already familiar with and others not so much. The price seems reasonable and it comes with a warranty. Both of which are important to me and my wallet. I need to make a decision soon but would like to get some input first.

Can you describe the shudder?

Have the tires and other suspension parts been checked?

These are OK struts but the price is good.

It feels like a tremor or vibration that's nonstop.

My tires are good. No complaints there. It's just the suspension components. Like the springs, struts and mounts. These things need replacing.

Is the vibration still present when the throttle is off?

Does the vibration change under under full throttle?

Any vibration felt through the steering?

Any brake peddle or steering vibration when braking?
