Default struts/shocks 2000 camry

What does the 2000 camry have struts/shocks? Approx. how many miles did they last, and how much to replace?

Thanks

i changed mine @ 80K w/KYB GR-2. A little below 400 shipped on eBAY for all 4. But they're suppose to last up to 100K.

in reality stock shocks are probably worn out by 75k miles , but its such a gradual reduction in performance that you really dont notice , until you put the new tokico, bilstein or kyb's in .
i think they are all about the same price . i just put on tokico's because they are slightly more forgiving on rough roads , but still have similar performance as the trd bilsteins that were on my 99 .

the fronts are very easy , you will need a spring compressor or maybe take it to shop and have them put the springs on shocks.
the rear is a complete pita . you have to take every piece of trim out of the back to get to the upper mounting bolts . it took me longer removing the trim (breaking several little cheap clips in the process)
than the springs ., but all in all its pretty straight forward . pick up a haynes repair manual from an auto store it may come in handy .
