Default 3rd Gen Camry, Ride Height

As of now, my car is completely stock. I want to lower it to make it look more sporty, but I don't really know were to start.

1. What do I need to lower my ride height? lowering springs? anything else?
2. will this effect the ride in any way?
3. Should I buy new rims and tires the same time I lower my car? or can these things be done separately? Do I need to worry about any compatibility issues?
4. can anyone recommend a specific lowering kit, or springs, or whatever?

On the issue of tires and rims, I was thinking about ASA brand. They look nice and are really cheap, but I am wondering if they are too cheap? Are these rims a good deal, or are they too good to be true?
What should I be looking for when buying tires and rims?
Any recommendations?

thanks a lot
