97 front lower control arm bushing
how hard is it to change this???
|
Requires taking off the arm.
Remove the steering knuckle. The lower ball joint unbolts from the arm. The bolts holding the control arm bushings on can be difficult to remove if rusted. Visit the Rockauto site and determine if you can purchase a complete arm with bushings. The bushings can be purchased separately, they need to be pressed in. |
I have similar trouble but my left lower arm control is actually broke and I need to change out the entire piece. From what I can tell it just looks like loosening the bolts, replacing and tightening the bolts back in. Is their any parts that need removing to get to this? Any help would be great. Thanks

If you purchase a complete arm the bushings do just bolt onto the chassis. Some folks have found these bolts frozen and hard to remove.
The lower ball joint needs to be unbolted from the arm. |
Plus the bracket for the sway bar end link.
