my camry vibrates...help?
 

alright my camry lately has been acting odd, whenever im driving at low speeds and especially braking the driver front side tends to shutter roughly and it stops doing that if im going over about 25 but then starts shuttering again when im driving over 60...any suggestions of what the problem may be?

it sounds like you have a balance issue witht he lf tire..have you had new tires installed recently, or a tire rotation?

i sorta had the problem that your describing w/my other car. i had a buick (nothing 2 do w/toyota i kno) that used 2 do almost the same thing.

there would b a vibration whenever i go a certain speed and such. The funny thing was, that i did get my tires rotated, balanced and aligned, and it wasnt the tires that was causing the problem.

It turns out (theory) that the reason that my my car vibrated was due to my engine, not the tires. whenever i would go a certain speed the engine would vibrate, hence vibrating the axels,(axels are connected 2 the wheels) thus vibrating the whole car.

So what i was about 2 do was repace the engine mounts on the car. But unfortunately i didnt have the chance 2 do so. But judging from my experience i hope u would take into concideration that it might not b the tires.

Had the same prob! after it was all said and done it ended up being my wheel bearings

I have a 1999 Camry that did that .... so SOLD it and bought an ACCORD !! i figured, das the only way to get rid ov the problem! LOL.. j.K FOLKS! I had my ROTATION and ALLIGNMENT done... then SOLD IT and bought a 2002.. which is funny because 2 weeks ago... i recently bought another '99.

i have a 90 le and well i found that the most possible problem is one of four issues bc i had the same problems and they happend at diffrent times
1. check your rotors
2. check your tie rod ends
3. check your tie rods and their boots
4. and have your tires and balance checked

i have had this issue 4 times now and one by one i had to replace those parts and now i ride like a dream on my 13" daytons

try your front strut and cv axle. recently had a similar problem. worked great after installation.
