Rear End Up Too High

I have a 1998 Camry LE with the 2.2L. A few years ago, I replaced the struts and springs all the way around with some from Detroit Axle (I think), and the back end of the car has been jacked up too high since then. I had read in the reviews that this was something people were also having happen. However, the manufacturer claimed that the rear should "settle" back down after several months. Well, here we are a few years later and it's still jacked up and hard to see out of the back window.

So, Toyota has discontinued the OEM rear springs. Does anyone know of replacement springs that will not jack up the back of the car? If not, is there anything I can do to the ones I have now to help? I know some people cut them, but I don't know if that's a good idea or safe.

Thanks!

Perhaps the old springs were sagging and the new springs brought the chassis up to the correct height.

Obtain the part number then search on the internet.

Ebay lists the Toyota spring but it will need to be shipped from the middle east.

Might look into a combo strut/spring combination that states it maintains the OEM ride height.

The other alternative is auto salvage yards. Here find out what years and models of Toyota used the part number.
