Ride quality with new tire/wheel combination

I am considering changing the tires and wheels on my 2011 LE with the same size tires and wheels but which will save about 8-lbs per axle. Generally speaking, would I notice any difference in the way the car feels with the lower weight package? I'll be replacing the steel wheels with alloys that save about 5-lbs per wheel and tires that are about 3-lbs lighter. Thanks for any insight.

For every 100 lbs in decreased weight MPG increases by a percent or two.

Might be slight improvement in acceleration and braking.

Handling may change slightly because of the decrease in unsprung weight (weight of moving parts on suspension).

One thing to consider is your driving climate as road salt may effect alloy rim finish.

Keep in mind the Camry is a family car with a corresponding suspension and performance thus don't expect dramatic changes.

Better tires might have a more dramatic improvement.
