Rotor replacement Camry LE How to remove
I tried to remove my rotors on my 2011 Camry LE. When I looked at YouTube the videos show nothing retaining the rotors when the tire and brake pad cradle are removed. While my rotor has a lot of rust, after I sprayed liquid wrench and banged on the rotor there is no movement. There is a nut on the center of the wheel, does it have to be removed? |
The center nut holds the axle to the hub bearing and hub.
There is nothing retaining the disk. The link below provides a number of possible ways using common tools. At Grommit's garage: Removing stubborn brake rotors The best approach is an acetylene torch and heating the rotor around the larger center hole. Next is a puller. https://www.google.com/search?q=roto...rCX8_XJEZOcGM: |
Thank you. I found under the how to section that the rotor has two 8 mm holes that you put a bolt in and tighten. That worked with a pretty good pop. Lots of rust. |
Great job.
