Squeaky steering wheel?

I have a 92 Camry that seems to have a squeaky steering wheel. It's not like a power steering squeal, the actual motion of turning the wheel causes a little squeak or scrub in the column as it turns.

Any ideas on how to cure this?

Check at the base of the column inside the engine compartment. There is a plastic bushing inside the column that can squeak.

that's exactly right. You certainly wouldnt be alone in hearing these squeeks. I've heard them in all generations of the camry, including the one i had. But it usually only happens when i turn quickly (showing early signs of wear...haha).
