Trouble with bigger tires

Ok so I am new to this Forum and I joined it in hopes that maybe someone on here can solve my problem.

Alright so here go's I drive a 2000 Camry. The original tire size on my my car 205/65/R15 and now I'm trying to switch to a 245/40/ZR18. Now the problem I'm having is that the rear end is rubbing the underside of the strut mount. It happens going up hills, down hills, under acceleration, or cornering, so pretty much all the time except going in a straight line at a slow acceleration. I've added one 5/8 wheel spacer on each side and its helped but not a lot. My question is how do I keep my rear end from rubbing away my tires? The reason why I even have these tires is because I got a great deal from a friend. I really like these rims and would appreciate any advice that could be given. If need be I can attach pictures to show everyone what I am talking about.

Thank you

By the way the front tires fit perfectly! I cant get them to rub at all.

Would stiffer springs keeping the rear end higher help?

Well I'm pretty sure it's hitting the spring perch and that it doesn't have anything to do with the springs themselves. I'm thinking of putting some coilovers on because i wouldn't have the spring perch anymore

Might ask at the Toyoanation website. A much more active site.

Not much else you can do, can only shim the hub so much then asking for trouble.

Your right. I mean it would look ridiculous riding with 1 inch wheel spacers. I've already bored the hub out to fit bigger and longer wheel studs in. I might try stiffening the springs up like you suggested. If nothing else it would help with body role.
