So I have a1992 Camry Wagon with 140k original miles. It's running very odd. The engine shakes a little bit at all times, and the acceleration is terrible. From a standstill I could mash the gas to the floor and it will take off really slow and then little by little catch up with itself. There was no codes stored when I jumped E1 and TE1 under the hood. When I press on the gas it takes forever just to speed up and I get this slight pulsing vibration which I think is just the engine shaking mixing with road noise. Once it gets going it's sorta ok. Idk what's going on. This car has a bigger motor than the Acura integra I used to drive and it was an auto as well and it was twice as fast as this thing is off the line. I refuse to believe this car is that terrible as far as the acceleration goes. It's AIR, FUEL or FIRE right? Lol. Also the Tach and Speedo do not work right either. The tach just flat out won't work and the speedo is off by 20, and the faster you go the more off it gets..ive tried replacing the VSS and I even grabbed a whole new cluster from the junkyard. I don't know if it's connected to that issue or not (probably not but you never know).Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for reading this and any help is greatly appreciated.

 

What is the idle RPM and MPG?

 

The idle rpm sounds fine minus the shaking. I heard the shaking could be the trans motor mount. The mpg is kind of terrible to be honest.

The tach, speedo and fuel gauge are all grounded via the same circuit. Does the fuel gauge work?
