96 camry keeps stopping on me
 

Can someone help me i have a 96 toyota camry and it keeps stopping on me. This has been happening for like the last month and i do not know why. I have new axles, brakes, rotors, alternator, fuses, struts. Yesterday i was driving and the car started over heating i pulled over and touched the fuses so the fans could start back up then i drove off again and it started smoking and then cut off i had to coast to the side of the street to move out of traffic. I got it towed to the house and took out the battery to charge it because the battery light was on. Put the battery back in and it only cranks now wont start and i don't want to flood anything so i am on here looking for some tips on what to do.

Stopping as in physically the car is stopping or the engine is stopping?

The engine is fine its physically stopping

What engine 4-cylinder or V-6?Are you stating the brakes or such may be causing the car to stop?

When the engine over heated did the temp gauge ever get into the red zone?

Smoke out the tail pipe? If so what color? Was this water vapor?

As long as you don't push on the gas pedal when cranking the engine will not flood.

Might start by checking the engines compression.
