Removing trunk badges?
I was thinking of deleting all of the emblems off of my trunk. I was wondering if they are just held on by double sided sticky tape, or if removing them would leave holes in the trunk.

RE: Removing trunk badges?
The middle Toyota badge has two small holes and double sided tape. The others just have the tape and are easy to remove. I just put some superglue (sounds really dodgy) in the holes and then painted them with touch-up paint and you can hardly see where they were.

small holes as i found it while i was thinking about replacing them with new 1's\ they actully look good on the car rather removing them ... but try & if u don't like it ... put them back :D

RE: Removing trunk badges?
on the 05s the camry and toyota badges come off with a heat gun and some fishing line then u just buff the rest out. i left the middle toyota symbol on until i shave and flatten the entire back. but the first two take less than 20 min to do

RE: Removing trunk badges?
Need to replace the emblem on the trunk as well. So there's no worries about peeling the paint when you remove the emblem? What else can you use if you don't have a heat gun?

RE: Removing trunk badges?
Hi ...
if u don't have a heat gun ... u can use insted a HAIR DRYER ... it's not a joke ,,, i use to remove the stickers that vi had on my previous car by using the hair dryer as a heat gun & it really works :) |
RE: Removing trunk badges?
