Removeeasy access parts like the air intake, things like that. Wipe them down separately, its prolly a good idea to replace anything that needs replacing at that point, like filters. When everything easy is out, wipe what can be with a damp cloth, anything else with a dry cloth. Remember: 1)Disassemble 2)Clean and detail 3)Reassemble. Thats what I do. and it comes out fine.

Don't park under trees, garage or covered parking whenever possible, don't park next to sprinklers, try not to draft behind cars/semi-'s when it's raining.

Avoid drive through washes and resort to self washes (not using their brushes). Just use their touchless high pressure soap spray and spotless rinse.
