found a solus on craigslist for cheap just need to get some updates now.
anyway, i believe the dealer tried to adjust the idle by adjusting the butterfly stop, and now the tps is off. last i looked at the car it seemed that the clic was comng from the tps? is that even possible?, lol.
anyway, any easy to follow throttle stop/tps adjustment instuctions?
thanks again.

The TPS does have an internal switch and a potentiometer.

See link for TPS adjustment.

alrighty then,
checked/adjusted tps, iac, a/c idle up valve. everything correct.
still misses intermitantly at idle and initial take off.
got a video, if you dont mind wasting 3 minutes of your life.
but pretty hard to hear the miss, might need to try a different angle
here we go!

Will need to find a computer with a sound card that works.

What you stating is the engine misses under load.

Have you checked the plugs, ign wires, etc.

Not sure the IAC or TPS would cause a miss, but high/low idle, hesitation, etc.

happyg 02-14-2009 12:44 PM

at idle/just off idle, never under load.
new plugs.
wires to coils look fine.

Can only guess.

A miss when NOT under load and only at idle sounds like a fuel problem.

You cleaned the IAC valve. The IAC valve is not monitored by the ECU for this year, thus a trouble code would never be set.

Any issues with the EGR valve. A slightly leaky valve can cause idle issues.

guess?, yup me too!, lol
i know its going to be somthing so simple!
thats whats so irritating.
thanks

Can not tell much form the audio.

Use a section of rubber tubing as a stethoscope to pin point the noise area.
