2006 Camry LE key fob problem
Good afternoon/evening everyone.
I bought 2006 Toyota Camry LE, which come with just one key. I bought key fobs but I can't access into the program mode ( I followed all the steps to program and rewrite but to no avail). I then check for keyless entry receiver/module, which I was told its under the rear passenger piller cover ( there's no one there). I was wondering if all Camry comes with keyless entry ! I don't see any security light on or around the dashboard area. Im just getting confused 🤔😂. Any tip will be much appreciated. Thanks |
Have you tried using the procedures outlined at Toyota dealer websites?

Unfortunately there are a LOT of different procedures out there and one is just as convoluted as another.
Take note it might be possible to reach a point where there are too many remotes programmed to the car and another will not program. https://www.toyotanation.com/threads.../#post-8660186 https://www.camryforums.com/how-tos/...-remote-396941 https://www.programyourremote.com/cl...ting-6097.aspx https://www.wesleychapeltoyota.com/s...b-programming/ |
Turns out the manufacturer swapped the lock and trunk circuits on the circuit board, and I cannot simply rotate the circuit board because the battery makes it impossible to close the fob if it's in a rotated position. The exterior buttons are swappable but not the exact same shape so swapping them leaves a larger crack to allow in dirt and water.
