1998 Camry Power Window
Okay, so for about 2 months, my rear right power window has been messed up. It'd go up a little at a time and down a little at a time. Signs that showed that it was dieing I suppose.
The other day, my cousin tried putting it down and I told her not to, but she did not process what I said fast enough and put it down anyways. It wouldn't go up. I guess it finally broke. I had my uncle who used to be a mechanic check it out this morning. He checked everything and it turns out the window motor is dead. (big surprise. :P) My question is.. Can I replace it with another brand of power motor made for the toyota camry? I can't find the one that was already in there. I don't know if it's stock or what, but I think it is. It says TOYOTA on the front side with a 3 lines of numbers and then DENSO. I was wondering if I could replace it with one of these. http://www2.partstrain.com/store/ima...e/A1471104.jpg |

RE: 1998 Camry Power Window
:)You should be able to buy and rebuilt or after market at a part store.

Check to make sure if the issue is the motor or regulator. The parts can be purchased individually or as a unit.

I'm sure it's the motor and not the regulator.
Can I use my old regulator with an aftermarket motor? |
