Tighten to specification
The Bolt was tighten to specification. I calibrated the torque wrench personally. Have also tried a less torque - no luck sound still present. I Did notice the other day when the left tire hit a pot hole, sound increased of note for the next 10 miles or so then went back to "normal".
BTW the last comment - WDC123, but the one that used lock tight for the bolt. It seems you are missing a critical safety component. When my engine was rebuilt they did not put on the sheet metal caps that a cotter key goes through to prevent the nut from turning in case it does loosen - I when to the Toyota Dealership to get replacements. Yes, Lock tight good stuff, these parts cotter pins should only set you back less than $5.00. The comment about saving your old Carrier Bearing until your sure the new one does not make noise, suspect the non-OEM parts are not of the same quality. My Camry used to be super quiet, now always a low rumbling sound. |
Thanks on the bolt comment.
