AC not working
I own a 2003 Camry LE,recently my AC became unserviceable and I have been to a few repair shop and all of them just can't fix the problem for.Whenever I try to on the AC switch,it will just flashes at me with no cold air out. Some mechanic told me its because of a leak in the system while others said it is a due to a problem relay in the switch.Has anyone out there encounter similar situation, please advise me,thanks in advance...

RE: AC not working
Id try bypassing the switch. Remove the switch, disconnect the wires and connect the wires together with a jumper wire and see if your AC comes on.
It flashes so the switch is probably getting power. But also check the wires going to the compressor at the engine and see if they are getting power. (Youd use a multimeter or vom to check it for power, theyre cheap and easy to use). |
RE: AC not working
it is your magnetic clutch relay.

RE: AC not working
I have the same problem and gave up several years ago. I just wondered if this persons problem was resolved, and if there's hope for me to try, yet again, to have a working AC.

RE: AC not working
Toyota has a Technical Service Bulletin stating it could be the magnetic clutch relay. Check the P/N, if 90987-02022 replace with 90987-02028.
