Changing manual trans fluid

I want to change the manual trans fluid on my 97 Camry v6. Is this the fill port on top of the trans? What brand gear lube is good to use? About how many quarts does the trans take?

That does look like the fill port. Make sure you can get that bolt out first before draining.
What model transmission is it?
I need to change my manual transmission fluid as well and through some research, I hear great things about Amsoil.

updated my camry manual gearbox list .... there are gaps in my research

might it be a 1mz-fe engine fitted ? then it should be E153 (1997-2001 Camry 1MZ-FE),

if so page one second picture of pdf shows positions

the filler plug is on the front of the box ...

and the drain plug should be somewhere near the part of the casing

I don't know what model transmission it is. I thought all the 3.0 V6 manual transmissons are the same? How many quarts of gear lube do I need to fill it up?

sorry cant answer that in quarts
im in australia .. i start .with 2 litres

then I use the old school -- little finger in the filler hole method

if oil is seen on the finger there is enough oil in the transmission
