Yesterday the engine light turned off again. I already had the MAS cleaner so I cleaned it and today the O2 sensor showed up so I replaced that.
Light came back on. lol
I drove around for a while and the light stayed on.
The black exhaust smoke seems to be gone now.
Starting up cold she really revs high at about 1700 for a couple of minutes before settling down around 700.

While driving it does seem like it's a little rough, can feel a bit of a stutter though small.
Give it some gas and it takes off, slight hesitation but just briefly.

I'll go have the codes read again tomorrow and see what shows up.

Snoopyd, my fellow Mainer, keep us posted on the codes, please.

I had the codes deleted yesterday. Small amount of driving and no engine light so far.
The Start up idle is now around 1200 and it drops pretty fast.
Will keep an eye on it and post if no changes.

Thanks for the update.

Well I was able to put some miles on the car over the weekend. One long trip of 360 miles and the light came on at 150 miles:eek: after having the codes reset.

I went and had the codes read again and this is what we have now.

P0136 - O2 Sensor Bank 1 sensor 2 (this came up twice. 2nd time says "Pending")
P1130 - Air/Fuel sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 (This came up twice as well, Pending).

Starting idle is back up around 1700

So it looks like the rear upflow sensor? Already replaced the front upflow sensor.
Looks like we got rid of several codes. :D

P1130 can be Bank 1 or 2.

What brand of 02 sensor are you using? If possible use Toyota or Denso brand.

Snoopyd 11-11-2014 11:02 AM

I grabbed the Denso Cali Emission, Upstream front O2 sensor.
Think I should replace the rear upstream now?
Front is bank 2, rear is bank 1.
