RE: How do you disable the seatbelt chime on a 2007 Toyota Camry?

One issue is the various seat switches and sensors are tied into a computer linked to the airbag system. This is not a simple system.

Typically there is a switch inside the female bucket that closes when the male portion is inserted. If you do start digging around looking for this switch remember the seat also has an occupant clasification sensor, perhaps built-in airbags and other wiring.

The easiest fix is to buckle the belt. Might try finding just a male buckle end piece that can be stuck into the slot. In either case if the airbags do deploy in an accident the passengers side will most likely also go off as there is weight on the seat.

Your question has been asked before but to date have never found a satifactory solution to this problem.

Maybe put the groceries in the rear floorboard where they are less likely to hit you in the event of an accident.
