Is this a 4 cylinder? The 4 cylinder engines vibration will increase as the RPM drops. This is a function of engine design.

Is the problem the idle speed is dropping, the increased vibration being a side effect of this?

Your best best for now is the dealer. Take the car back and complain, be polite!. You paid for them to fix the problem and it was not fixed.

Thanks for your reply. yes it's the 2.4, 4 cyl. Been back to the dealer twice, they basically said they can't do anything else. Too bad because I've have several Camrys and none have been as rough as this one. Like I said in an earlier post it's only rough while in gear and stopped at say a traffic light. As soon as I put it in park or neutral it's "glass" smooth. The A/C is off, tach reads between 700-800 eithier in gear OR in neutral. Mystery??

Idle RPM is 610-710 RPM.

Did the shop check the engine mounts?

Oh, you are in Canada. tough. any store here in the USA reads codes for free or rents scanner for refundable fee.
no, though 4 cyl engines are less balanced than 6 or 8 cylinder ones, vibration should not increase with rpms. at least, not to the point that car shakes.
besides, yours shakes at low rpms anyway. and it's a 2008 model, and I have 2007 4 cyl engine, and there's no rpm rtelated vibration.
whatever. find good independent and do not go back to dealer. if you do not know what Dairy Queening you means, it's very simple - it's called "milking the job". they will keep tossing mostly unnecessary repairs at you, or you will be paying for their time in dealership rates.
be well and good luck.

Vibration

I took my 2008 LE 4 cyl. to the dealer (40K miles) and they said the vibration was due to throttle dirt. They cleaned it and changed the oil ( regular maintenance ) and I drove away. The vibration persisted. This vibration happens only when the engine is warm. So after the oil change it was cold and it did not do it. I brought it back, re-did the repair ( clean throttle) and still the same. Anybody has any ideas? When is in neutral or park the engine is perfectly smooth. Only when in drive and at stop position the problem appears. Idle speed is normal in park and in drive. A/C has no influence on the vibration. Any ideas?
Thank you.

My friend has an accord, and he has been facing the same problem. When in Drive and stopped at a light, his car vibrates. My suspicion is strongly towards engine mounts.

My experience has been to go to independent mechanics, after doing some research if necessary about their work.
