Yet another 'what'd I do'...?
Some of you might have read of my adventure under the hood here: https://www.camryforums.com/forum/ge...i-break-44327/
So, now, I removed the intake plenum again to get at the broken VVTi sensor connector, and on reassembly I have a disconnected hose that I don't remember disconnecting. I managed to get a photo of it in my albums, but can't seem to get it into this thread. The hose is about 3/4" ID, connected to the passenger side of the rear valve cover. AllData SEEMS to call it a "blow-by hose" but doesn't indicate where the other end goes. Car will start and run a short distance (< 1 mile) before coughing and stalling out. Help? |
Look at the photo at the link below.
ImageBam For a hose this size, check the valve covers for a port or hose of this size. May be buried under the engine top cover. Blow-by = PCV system. This system connects between a valve cover and engine intake air. The engine intake air system draws any oil fumes from inside the engine from the valve cover into the engine to be burned. |
Found it! Had to play with the routing... it's the #2 vent hose (according to ChiltonDIY) and has a nipple on the flex hose between air cleaner box and throttle body.
Now for the road test... |
