1995 camry LE fuel pump help
I just bought a 1995 camry. It ran great till I let it sit for 2 weeks. Now it wont start. I have checked fuses, relays, fuel pump and cant find the problem. There is not power going to the fuel pump. I pulled the pump thinking it had gone bad. I tested it and it runs great. I bought a new pump just to see and it also would not turn on. I checked the EFI fuse and relay and they are both still good too. I am assuming the relay is good because I switched it with the ABS relay and still didnt have power to the pump. I figured both relays cant be bad. I have also sprayed starter fluid in the air intake and the car will run on the spray, but only for a few seconds. I dont know what to check next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The pump will not run unless the engine is cranking over or running.
Look in the engine compartment for a small plastic box labeled Diagnostic. Inside the box are electrical terminals. Jump the B+ and FP terminals. This will bypass the relays and allow the pump to run when the ign switch is on. |
