87-91 wagons?

for wagon, i looked on sites for mileage differences from 6 & 4 cyl EPA listed for the 2.0 as 22city 24avg. 27hwy, for the 2.5 was 17city 19avg. 22hwy, think this is correct but wonder what it is in the real world, are the v6's that bad really?

This seems low.

The 4-cylinder should average 26 and the V-6 around 24.

Thanks, I wasn't clear, sorry. Not wondering so much about the average, more the real world highway mpg for trips. Just guessing but would think a V6 wouldn't need ya to put the pedal to the floor near as much as a 4cyl? any thoughts:confused: .

2.0 4cyl 115hp,,, 2.5 6cyl 156hp

This 4-cylinder was designed as an around town family car engine. It is more fuel efficient. On long trips the 4-cylinder can get 29-32 MPG. Average 26.

The V-6 is the more performance engine. It has always gotten less MPG.

The Alltrac 4-cylinder 22-24 average. 24-27 hwy.
