Tire size for 98 V6
My 98 V6 came with 205/65/15s. Has anyone put on 215/65/15s or maybe 215/70s? If so, do you have pictures? Thanks

Stick with the OEM specs, unless you're upgrading to bigger/wider rims. If you want, you can try 215/60.

It shouldn't be too big of a difference. The sidewall is just a bit thicker, that's it right?

Diameter in inches of the wheel that the tire is designed to fit. There is the rare exception metric diameter tires, such as the use of the 390 size, which in this case would indicate a wheel of 390 mm in diameter. Few tires are made to this size presently.

The width is measured in millimeters, the diameter in inches. The second number is side wall height, which is a percentage of the width. For instance, 205/65/15. This tire is 205 millimeters wide (8.07 inches), the side wall height is 65% of the width, or 133.25 millimeters (5.25 inches) and the rim diameter is 15 inches.

I've been runnin' 215/70/r15's for several years. I've also got spring compressors to do the cheap lowering kit. I have a few scrapes every now and then but it's road pretty good.
