is having your tail light tinted street legal?

 

i used a spray on kinda tint stuff for model cars...ill post pics of my tail lights and how they turned out but the spray leaves kind of a matte finish not a glossy finish like tint would....

 

it's called " JDM SMOKE TINT LENS SPRAY PAINT" you can get it on ebay for $23 with shipping included, i did apply five layers for both tail liights and it's dark smoke. Got two tickets for "defective equipments" and i still do it again hahaha. You will run into some..strict cops and they will give u a ticket for it. Now, it's hard to tint ur tail light as i'm told, because you can leave bubbles and there is no assurance it will stay on there. Spray it, you will like it more, make sure you clean the tail light with windex no finger prints on it. so it will come out nice. This spray will take a while to set, at least 2 hours. HOpe this will help

You can check out bluebatmobile.net instead of paying the crazy price to a tint company. Plus it'll be easier to take off when/if you geta fix it ticket. Most cops are cool but every once in awhile you'll find an a-hole. Bluebatmobile.net is definately the way to go. Quality product, great prices, and easy to install.
