Would it be legal yes or no?

 

i'd say yes. as long as you write "copyright by nintendo" in fine print.

 

I don't think they'll care so long as you're not using it for profit. Not sure if I'd spraypaint it as that type of paint isn't the best, airbrushing would probably work better. Unless you are knowedgable about this stuff (I'm certainly not) I would suggest talking to an auto body shop.
