Default car paint design

hi all, i want to do design line on my toyota camry 2002. see picture. i want to do the black line you see in the picture. one of my friend told me that i will need to paint the whole car or it will look weird since the new black paint is going to look brighter than the old paint in the car. is this true? i dont want to paint the whole car. just do the black line. will the new paint looks ok with the old paint if i only do the black line. see pic

you should opt for a shop to use decal instead of painting it so this way you can undo the work done when you dislike the look. Other than that; good shops are capable of color matching even when there's been some age on the car.

thanks. so using decal doesnt ruin the paint when you take it off?
is this something i can take off myself or i have to go to the shop?
i think i will use decal. i think painting will cost more and like you say i can take it off if i dont like the look later.

do you know how much a job(decal) like that will cost?
if you know any good shop around nyc or nj area let me know

Yeah.. just wait for a warm day and grab a bottle of goo gone and start peeling it off. For larger areas; the usual term is a " Vinyl Wrap" and i have no idea on locations in the east coast. LOL goodluck.
